Following the Way of the Noodle

My problem was simple. A full schedule and a lot of research to undertake, meant that my own website was being pushed to the back burner.

When I first started the company, I was expecting a few quiet months to set up. But happily, I have been busy from the outset. Whenever there is time to spare, research is the priority.

So how could I move forward? If I had met myself in another guise, I know exactly what my advice would have been: just get started, constantly improve. Seems simple doesn't it? Yet it is actually hard to start small. I have been designing and building sites for well over a decade and so I know all the things that I would like to do better. It is hard to let go.

Our favorite restaurant in London is Wagamama, a fabulous Japanese noodle bar. Not only does it make great noodles, it practices Kaizen, the Japanese philosophy of continuous improvement. I gave myself a two week time box to get a site up, from here on out, it is time to follow the way of the noodle.
